Always continue to strive for excellence baby!

As I was singing in the shower after a really challenging workout moments ago, I realized that there will never be a time where I can say, "Yes! I have my dream body now. I can stop exercising! I can eat cookies and ice cream all day long!" No! Having a strong healthy vibrant body is a constant effort that you have to work towards every day.It is about self love and being the best you because no one is youer than you. :)

Before I found Beachbody, their amazing community and fitness programs, I would always ask myself, "Okay, if I work really hard how long will it be until I will have my dream body?" -- Don't you see? I was focusing on the destination not the journey. The journey is what truly matters and plus, it is the best part. We must learn to enjoy all the ups and downs life provides us with because with each high and low there is something amazing to learn.

Of course there will be a time very soon, when I will feel like I do have my dream body. There will come a time when I am completely comfortable and confident in my own skin. But once you accomplish one goal, you must form new and bigger ones. Everyday, you always must challenge yourself so you can be stronger than you were yesterday. That is how we grow. That is how and why successful people are successful.

Let me ask you this:
What if you stopped working out and eating healthy? Well, soon enough, you would be where you started... Having to lose 20-50 lbs, gaining more muscle, working on your cardio endurance and so much more.

What if you just became fluent in a second language and just stopped speaking in that language for a month? You might be still somewhat of a good speaker in that language but you would have forgotten a few things. And would have to start from ground zero is certain areas

It is always a constant effort. You have to do it every day so you can learn, grown and become stronger.

 Don't be down on yourself if you can't do it perfectly right away. Take baby steps. Accept where you are right now.You're doing great. Keep going.

Remember, after you accomplish a huge dream of yours continue to dream bigger. Most if not all companies would not be where they are today if they believed that after one huge accomplishment that was all they would ever achieve. No successful person or company has ever thrown their hands up in the air and said, "Well, that's it. We might as well throw in the towel because this is the best we will ever be able to do." NO! We all must challenge our selves and our imaginations to dig deeper so we can do as much as we possibly can and be the best we can be.

The universe has HUGE plans for you. Plans that you probably can't even conceive right now. Just start crossing off one goal and dream after another and you'll get there.

Silence and still your mind and you'll know what to do.

You're a rock star and don't you forget it!

Peace out and dream BIG!

Make time to love and improve yourself every day! Be the best you that you can be!

Exercise is so crucially important to living a happy healthy successful life. Exercising teaches me so much and strengthens not only my body but also my mind every time I do it. Having a strong mentality is everything.  If you have a strong mentality, you can conquer anything! <3 br="br">

Last week, I didn't exercise as much as I usually do. :/ wa wa waaaa I know, right?  I noticed that my body started to really slow down, I didn't feel as happy and energetic as I usually do and I actually started to go into a depressed state of mind. JUST because I didn't exercise for a few days! Crazy! So make sure to exercise for at least 30minutes every day. Even if it's just going on a walk. :)

If you don't exercise, you are only depriving yourself.
Exercising...
  • balances your body
  •  refreshes you
  • sets the tone for the day
  •  increases confidence
  •  helps you solve difficult challenges
  •  is a getaway
  •  is a time for you and only you, it is an act of self love and dedication to being the best you that you can be! :)  and so much more!
So if you don't workout on a daily basis, you are only hurting yourself!

Always make time to improve yourself every day! <3 br="br" xoxox="xoxox"> Love, Tianah <3 br="br"> P.S. Always drink LOTS of water. How much water you ask? You want to drink half your body weight in ounces. :) This is a great website to get filtered water! http://www.waterbobble.com/

Being organized and prepared is HEALTHY not nerdy... Here is my story thoughts and some tips to help you get started!

For the last several weeks I have been doing A LOT of cleaning and organizing.
4-5 months ago, I left college and moved in with my mom temporarily until I  am able to make it on my own and move into my own apartment.  I have officially made my goal that my boyfriend and I will move in together! :D I am so excited!
 In 4-7 months I WILL be living on my own. I WILL create the life I dream of everyday.
In the process of this journey I decided #1 I had to get REALLY SERIOUS. And that includes having a clean, organized and tidy space for myself! Successful people are clean and organized. They are in CONTROL. They know the ins and outs of everything!

With all the extra STUFF I had from college my space was clean but still cluttered and somewhat unorganized. So I decided to get down to business.
Successful people do what the average person is unwilling to do!
And you know what I realized? I realized that when my space wasn't as clean, organized and open as I wanted it to be, while I would get ready for my day, I would become very hot, angry, irritable and really pessimistic about life and would become a really not so fun person to be around. I felt like a victim, nothing was going my way, I felt like a loser, I felt out of control, I felt like I was falling deeper and deeper into failure... I know it sounds silly, but it's true! And I'm sure lots of other people feel the same way but maybe they don't understand why they feel that way and blame it on other outside forces.

But then, when I took control, by cleaning, organizing and throwing away things I never used or didn't need thus creating more space, I felt so much happier, relaxed, open, loving, giving, organized, efficient  successful... and so much more!  It was such a therapeutic experience! Being organized isn't nerdy, it's HEALTHY! It's good for your well being and mental mind set. You sleep better at night and you become less stressed!
You CAN make your life go from this...
to this :)
How does the first picture make you feel compared to the second? ... Interesting isn't it? :)

Cleaning and being as organized as we can be is something we all should strive for each and every day because #1 it helps us be and become a better person and #2 it helps create more success in your life!

If you are messy ... If you have this huge load you are carrying EVERY DAY and have things falling all over the place and have so much to do... If you find that events and circumstances keep happening, that you either forgot about or that were totally unexpected and off your radar, then how can you attract new and better experiences into your life when you are too busy picking up the pieces of YOUR mess?

YOU have to take CONTROL of YOUR life! No one else can do this for you. You HAVE to drop it, you have to just let it go and just start going through piece through piece... bit by bit. Decide whether keep, sell, give away or throw away. It is a process but I KNOW you can do it!

Take control of your LIFE! Start cleaning up your life now!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
* Get rid of cluttered counters!
only lay out what you use EVERY DAY. everything else can go in a nice cupboard or storage unit and maybe some of it you can throw away!
* Have clean organized drawers! -- This is a neat website that can give you some ideas and help you!
* Get rid of extra products
-- do you have tons of shampoos and conditioners or different brands? Are they half empty? Have they been sitting around for months? Throw them away! I say simple is better! You don't need tons of beauty products. You just need 1-3 that keep you happy and healthy.
I use castile soap for:
body wash
shampoo
face wash
hand wash
cleaning my make-up brushes
I use Beauty4Ashes products
Scar and Elasticity Repair Stretch mark Oil
Cranberry Vanilla Whipped Body Butter
GodHead Superfood Multivitamin Conditioner
I use a natural form of toothpaste from Whole FoodsProduct Image
Natural Gate Toothpaste Peppermint
And 3x a day I use teatree oil and salt as a scrub on my face.
THAT:S IT!
More Organization tips to come!
Send me a message on something you need help with and I'll write about it!
How much can REALLY change in ONE year?
 It's so amazing how much can change in a year... I don't feel like we look back and reflect enough. We don't give ourselves credit for all the hard work we have accomplished. One year ago from yesterday (Thanksgiving) I was in denial about a lot of things going on in my life... I ignored how unhappy I was, that I was in a horrible toxic unhealthy relationship tha
t would NEVER work, and that I was in the WRONG place trying to fulfill something that wasn't mine to fulfill... Simply, I was not on MY path. I was on someone else's, climbing someone ELSE'Smountain.
 A year ago from now, I was at my Dad's friends' home, Yvonne and Steve's. They are like an aunt and uncle to me. Even though they are good people and I enjoy my time with them, I was very sad because I wasn't with my boyfriend at the time who claimed he loved me. His father had a problem with me, but really, it was a reflection of who is and what personal problems he has. I was sad about a lot of things (including the fact that my boyfriend who said he loved me, would not stand up for me and allowed instances and people get in the way of our "relationship" ) and clearly I was not being treated the way I should have been.
 Ironically, my boyfriend at the time, lived just a block away from where I was. This is HUGE irony, because Steve and Yvonne weren't local, they live in the city as did my boyfriend that I was with at the time... I remember Yvonne telling me that I'm young, I shouldn't be tied down in a relationship. I remember her telling me how pretty I am and how much I have to offer to the world. And she was right...
A year from that day, you know how I spent my thanksgiving? I spent it with a someone who really loves and cares about me. Even his family cares about me, enjoyed seeing me and can't wait to see me again. I have found my place, my path, and a person that truly understands me, sees me for me, whole heartily loves me, holds me and comforts me when I am in pain and I do the same for him. He and I are rock solid. We are building goals and dreams together. In an entire year, I managed to go down a path that wasn't for me( those paths are usually very long and painful, which it was) and I managed to leave everything behind and start anew. :)
 I do what I do, to help people. I want people to be able to take control of their life like I did with mine. I want people to
 not be afraid to stand alone and be independent from everything else, even from society.  I want to help people discover their TRUE dreams. I want to help people be able to heal from traumatic pasts and still come out the other side still shinny and new. I help people. It's not about shaleology or Beachbody challenge groups... It's about the journey. I want to help people discover why they were born; what they are meant to do in this lifetime. We are all rock stars and we are all meant to shine.
In one year...
  • I ended a toxic unhealthy relationship of 2 two years
  • I left college
  • I discovered and I continue discover what I am meant to do in this life
  • I got my health back
  • I healed my heart and my mind from the past
  • I have become a vegan
  • I have lost 12 pounds of fat + gained muscle mass
My 12 TIPS of how to keep off the weight over the holidays!
Eat like this.... so you will feel like this....
It's getting to be that time of year again! Do you usually get mixed feelings about the holidays? I sure do!  You love  seeing your family and friends but you don't love the feeling of being bloated...? Do you sometimes feel guilty eating food during the holidays? Afraid you over-ate and gained weight?
Did you know the average person gains 7-12lbs over the holidays?!
Well, this year, you are going to be smart! You are NOT going to gain weight. No... not you. You are so much better than that. You deserve better! Here are 12 tips to help you stay healthy and happy over the holidays! :)
#1 Have a healthy breakfast! -Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Have lots of fiber.
-- Oatmeal, protein shake, smoothie, fruit, cereal with lots of fiber (stay away from additives, artificial flavors) and use almond or soy milk instead! Or if you REALLY want to be good. Make your favorite ol' Shakeology :)
#2 Eat every 2-3hrs in SMALL portortions
#3 Drink a glass of water 30 minutes BEFORE every meal
#4 Eat LOTS of whole grains, vegetables, proteins and foods in their most natural form
#5 Stay away from processed foods
#6 Bring healthy snacks and meals wherever you go-- even if you go out to eat with friends. You can eat what you made yourself at home! No one will care! -- Or...Invite your friends to your place to cook them a nice healthy meal! -- If you do order at a restaurant, BE SMART! Have a well balanced meal (vegetables, whole grains and protein). Ask it without the added cheese and butter. Ask HOW and WHAT they cook the meal with. Eat half and take the other half home. And Try not to eat the appetizer and try to stay away from the dessert menu...
#7 Don't go to dinners and parties hungry!
#8 Always have water handy! Drink AT LEAST 8 glasses of water.
#9 Stop eating 2 hours before your bed time. You shouldn't eat after 6-8pm.
#10 Wear tight snug fitting clothes when you go to parties and dinners, so you won't eat so much.
#11  Ask to have a meal made specially for you or cook your own food and take it to your friend's/ family's home-- bring enough for everyone else!
#12 Take a break from eating when you feel 80% full and after 15 minutes, see how you feel.
Feeling down? - Exercise! +my exercising (weightloss) TIPS!
Yesterday, I fully learned the importance of exercising even when you feel sad or any negative emotion-- EVEN when you feel sick and think that it isn't good for you, it IS good for you!  This past month of October has been completely NUTS! Everything has been happening all at once for me. I found my soul-mate, I have met a lot of great people, I joined a great organization that is like another family to me... I have been happy, I have been sad, I have felt well rested, I have felt stressed, I have felt whole, I have felt broken, I have felt alive, I have felt dead inside, I felt successful, I have felt like a failure... And what I have learned through this roller coaster is that exercise is the ONE constant for me. Exercising ALWAYS makes me feel better. Exercising helps even me out.
Exercising makes me feel:
  • happy
  • well- balanced
  • positive
  • strong, powerful, sexy, confident
  • productive
  • accomplished
Exercising helps me:
  • maintain positive mind set
  • work out problems I am experiencing in my life and helps me SOLVE them
  • let go of stress
  • eat healthier and eat in smaller proportions
  • drink more water
  • challenge myself in a positive way
  • attract what I want and need into my life
  • be a better person for myself and others
TIPS:
  • Exercise first thing in the morning, it sets the mood of the rest of your day! This is one way to have a good day EVERY DAY! :)
  • NEVER skip your workout -- you're only hurting yourself and others
  • Drink LOTS of water
  • Eat every 2-3 hours a day (increases metabolism) in SMALL proportions (drink a glass of water first and eat until you feel 80% full and wait 10 minutes and see how you feel) ;)
  • if you aren't feeling well and feel like you're coming down with something, still do something! Go on a walk. :)
  • Drink Shakeology every day -- also helps prevents disease
  • Eat LOTS of veggies
  • Eat Organic
  • Consume less animal products
Now, go exercise and create an amazing life for yourself! :D <3 xoxoxo
How to be at peace when in the midst of choas
One of the rules for personal observation, is called, “Santosa”, which means modesty; contentment with what we have or in other words, to be at peace with oneself.  In order to be at peace, one has to accept oneself, flaws and all. However, true peace, is when one can be calm and still in the midst of a heavy hardship or challenge in one’s life -- even when they are surrounded by others who are suffering and/or others who are running and screaming, “Chaos! Chaos Chaos!” all over the place (at least, it can sometimes feel that way at times) – and still come out on the other side and say, “It’ll turn out just fine.” With a smile on their  face . Peace comes from within. We cannot be given peace, only WE can find and create that solitude and comfort within ourselves.
In relation to Santosa, here is a story that might give you, the reader, a better grasp on the idea: There once was a man whose son was in the army. This man one day got a very terrible feeling and did not want his son to get killed. Instead of the father focusing on what he didn’t want (his son getting killed), he focused on his son’s future, health, and well-being and this made him feel good. Then, one day his son fell off his horse and broke his leg. People began to say to the father, “Oh no! You’re son fell off his horse and broke his leg!” “You’re son broke his leg! This is so terrible!” “You’re son’s leg is broken! Oh, how devastating and sad that is!”. The father would always reply, “You know, I think it’s a good thing. I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I don’t know why, but I think this is a very good thing.”. The next day, all the soldiers were called to war and the son did not get called because his leg was broken. Even though the event of the son falling off his horse and breaking his leg, seemed to be a bad negative event in the moment,  it turned out to be a rather good thing in the long run and probably saved his life. In this story, the father remained calm and at peace, even when everyone around him seemed to be scared and in chaos about his son’s leg getting broken. This is an example of Santosa being at peace with oneself and life no matter the circumstances.
Santosa both is an attitude that we choose to have and or create within ourselves and it effects our actions. If the father in the story was not in Santosa, then he probably would have reacted like everyone else, scared and chaotic. Santosa ( the knowing that everything will be okay and that everything is a process), effects the mind and therefore our actions.
Wouldn't it be nice if our prime intention was to not cause harm?
I am currently in a yoga teacher training program and I thought I would share this with you. :)
Ahimsa is not causing pain in all aspects of life: physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and verbally. This means not physically harming  anyone, not hurting someone’s feelings, not insulting anyone’s intellect, not putting anyone down for who they are and to never use harsh words towards another individual. We not only want to implement this kindness towards others but also to ourselves and to animals and mother earth.  If we all incorporated compassion, mindfulness, kindness, and friendliness, this world would be a much better place.
            Yoga is an act of non-violence, mindfulness and compassion towards our bodies and teaches us to treat others the way we would want to be treated. Instead of resorting to medication or surgery to lose weight or heal our bodies, we do yoga which is soft, gentle and loving yet still challenges the mind body and spirit in a healthy way that will build strength and endurance. Yoga does not only benefit the body but it opens the heart and heals wounds that the spirit/soul might be holding onto from past times. Doing yoga helps us get away from all the negativity and stress that exists in the outside world and to reconnect with our true divine selves. Yoga does not only heal the body but it also heals the heart and the spirit. When the heart and spirit is open and whole, the channels of wisdom and knowledge can flow with more ease.
            This world would be a much more peaceful place if more people were kind, compassionate, and mindful to others. Wouldn't it be a beautiful thing if everyone’s intention was to be kind and to not harm anyone? There are so many ways humans hurt one another: emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually and verbally. Let us all be kind to one another and implement the philosophy and way of life called Ahimsa.
Your thoughts might be more powerful than you think!
We are all transmitters and receivers. What we think is what the universe creates and brings to us, the thinker, no matter good or bad, it is what the thinker creates. The universe does not understand, no, not… or any other negative connotations. If one thinks to themselves, “I do not want to be late. I do not want to be late!”, then they will in fact be late because the universe does not comprehend the word “not”.  All it hears is, “I do want to be late. I do want to be late!” Of course, on this individual’s drive to their destination, all the lights will turn red.  It is not because they universe hates them or that they are unlucky, it is just mere fact that they created it with their thoughts. Our thoughts are very powerful. They don’t just determine the words we speak, how we treat others, our personality…it determines our life and the opportunities that open up and come to us! It all boils down to what we choose to focus on.
        There will always be obstacles in life, which surprisingly do not play a huge part in one’s life. The struggle and stress or the enlightenment and balance are determined by how one deals with their challenges. This is the key component. What the mind thinks is a good indicator of how the body will respond.
The Mind and the Body are Connected!
When the mind is focused on their divine self and is in an accepting state of mind, the body will move with ease and fluidity. When the mind is in a selfish and is in an insecure place, the body will move heavily and feel unstable.  Most people have not mastered letting go and being mindful of their ego. The ego is quite silly and shallow. It cares about mainly what is on the outside rather than what’s on the inside – which is what truly counts in the end. When the mind and body have chosen to be closed off  because they are fearlful for their own personal reasons their body will tense up. However, when the mind and body are open and free from any judgemental thoughts, they will most likely have a very enjoyable time because there body will be lose and open which will allow their mind, body and spirit to grow.
                It is all about learning how to condition one’s mind , understanding the law of attraction and how powerful one’s thoughts truly are. Everyone is on their path and the sooner we realize and understand this concept about the universe the sooner we can rid the disease from our life.  Know thy self . Understand and be mindful of your challenges, for they have a lot to teach you about yourself and the world. When one knows thyself, they can begin to understand the universe.
~An Important Message from Your Truly ♥~
I recently was talking with a friend about the effects that the media has had on society and the way it has changed people to think and perceive certain aspects of life and even THEMSELVES (i.e. relationships, sex, women, respect, manners, what is considered natural, fashion, the human body...etc.) And it is just all so sad...
I  want to say that YOU are beautiful. You can be ANYTHING you want to be. You CAN change ANYTHING you want to change. (Whether it be your body, who you surround yourself with, who you call your friends and family and even the world -- you can do anything baby.) You are the most powerful force you have in your life. Take life by the bootstraps and set your life into MOTION! YOU create the world you live in. I personally love to live in reality and fantasy at all times. It's not because I am in denial, it is actually quite the opposite. It's where I can be most honest and find my inner peace, the path of peace that leads and shows me my destiny, this path shows me my passion; my purpose. Find what makes YOU the happiest.
 Everyone has THEIR OWN mountain to climb. Find YOUR mountain and start climbing baby. There will be treacherous times and there will victorious times. Just know that YOU CAN do it. <3 We are all behind you 100%. You can have any life you wish to have. <3 Don't listen to what society says because they lie to you so they can keep you in the gutters where they want you, but you belong in the SUNSHINE! Heck, you ARE the sunshine! Shine as bright as you can baby and don't let ANYONE dim your light. You are too precious! <3
*** Find your OWN personal identity. <3 It should make you feel like a superstar. Like you can do anything you want, be whoever you want to be and feel however you want to feel.
>> This is a peek into the self identity I found for myself:
Don't pay attention to all the airbrushed models because YOU are beautiful! Besides, it is NOT how you look, rather and most importantly, it is how you FEEL! <3 Your #1 goal should to always feel better than you are feeling now. Even if you are EUPHORIC! Try to feel even better than that! And surprisingly enough, if you are depressed, getting angry is better than being depressed. Being angry is one step up from being depressed -- it gets your heart rate up. Of course, I am not influencing anyone type of meanness or violence whatsoever. I'm telling you the truth. So in conclusion, focus on your health and you will be happy with the visual results you receive. ;) Focus on the FEELING and your hard work will soon start to show afterwards. <3
If you need help with ANY area of your life I would be MORE than happy to help you. <3 My services are free of charge. :) I can help you attract what you want into your life. :) Either leave me a comment, find me on facebook, or email me at   tianah31@gmail.com :) Have a great fantabulous week! <3 xoxo
Out with the old in with the new
I hope you are doing well and had a great weekend! Happy Monday! -- Time to get to work. :)
So for the last couple of weeks, I have been doing lots of dreaming and training myself to think in a more positive way, so I can attract what I want into my life faster and with more force. --> Law Of Attraction baby. :)  I have created multiple dream boards, a dream book, and I have spent hours and hours thinking and writing about the life I want to create and live. I have learned so much and I have much more to learn.It's exciting and liberating to know that I have all the power in the world to make my dreams become a reality.
Just as little as two months ago I ended a very horrible, toxic, addictive and abusive ( emotionally and spiritually) relationship that lasted for 2 YEARS. I healed myself and I am back to my authentic sunshine self. And within just these past 2-3 weeks, I have done so much work. Surprisingly, just ONE week ago, I have met an amazing, sweet, caring, wholesome, loving... ( I could go on forever) guy who makes me really happy. Think whatever you want, but I personally believe this wonderful miracle has happened to me because of the Law of Attraction. I created the relationship that I now currently have. I CREATED IT! Isn't that crazy- amazing?! ME! I DID IT! And you can too! (If you want to be in control of your life like how I took control of mine, I think you would find the audios I have been listening to helpful. Ask me if this interests you. I can loan them to you for FREE.)
However, often times when you get hurt, you can do all the healing and forgive all you want but the scars and memories still remain the same. The memories... the heartbreak... the betrayal... the tears.... this is what I have been struggling with as I open my heart to this wonderful man who loves me for me. <3 Have you been through a similar experience? What is one to do? The answer: Practice thankfulness. <3 It's as simple as that. Be thankful. <3 Live in the present and let go of the past. What's happening now is different from the past. If you are wise and have a good judge of character, it won't happen again. <3
This is another thing I am practicing to incorporate more into my life. I already practice the thoughts, I now just need to keep a gratitude journal because I feel that would benefit me the most. What are you thankful for? Just take 2-5 minutes of your day everyday to practice thankfulness. Say it out loud if you can. :)
Thank you for everyone who reads my blog. :) I hope this blog post has helped at least one person. If I could help one person live a happier and healthier DAY, it would bring joy and honor into my LIFE. :) Nasmaste. <3 Have a wonderful week! <3
My Apology Letter:
Okay, so I'm really sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I'm learning how to manage myself. I'm getting better I promise! My life has been very busy and I don't have much to complain about. I'm pretty happy with life right now. :) It gets better and better every day. :)
So anyway... it turns out P90x wasn't my thanggg. It's not for everyone. It wasn't my soul-mate workout. But it may be yours! Who knows. What's a soul-mate work out? Well, how do you want your soul mate to make you feel? Excited, strong, happy... You look forward to your workout out every day, exercise goes by quickly but you enjoy every minute, you feel accomplished afterward, you feel energized afterward... I definitely did not experience any of those things with P90x. I dreaded it every day. The time went by really slow and I was miserable doing the exercises. I felt completely drained and exhausted afterwards.And I got results... but they weren't that great.  So if this is you right now, you got to to try something new! Exercise does NOT have to feel this way. Trust me. I've found love and so can you! I would love to help you find your soul-mate work out. So what did this girl do, you're asking? Well, I read PUSH by Chalene Johnson (Great read by the way! I recommend you read it if you need something to simplify your life and make life easier and more enjoyable. Who doesn't want that?) and I watched some of Chalene's youtube videos. Geesh. That is one amazing, creative, smart, hilarious woman! :) I asked myself, "If I enjoy listening to Chalene, I'll probably enjoy working out with her!" You are what you think!
Add caption
Have you ever thought about your thoughts? Sounds like a silly question. But seriously, do you know how powerful your thoughts are? They are the most powerful tool you have. THE MOST POWERFUL. Your thoughts determine your personality, confidence,your emotions, your energy level(partially), your actions, how you treat others, how you react to others, what you attract to yourself... it basically determines your LIFE. It's the difference between "I can't." and I CAN."; the difference between " Not me. I couldn't do that. I couldn't be that successful, significant, talented, skillful." and "Why NOT me?" Now, I am not talking about "positive thinking". Society has sugar coated the phrase too much. This is simply thinking how you would talk to your best friend. You wouldn't tell your best friend that he/she is ugly/stupid/fat/insignicant... No. That would be awful. From this point on, I want YOU,yes YOU, to make a promise to yourself. Take a sheet of paper and a PEN... I'm waiting... Got it? Okay, good. Now I want you to write,
" I, ____(your full name name)______, promise to talk to myself kindly, lovingly, and with patience every single day. Some days will be harder than others, but I promise to try my best to treat myself with love and respect. When I think a negative thought towards myself I will write it out, scratch it out and then replace that thought with a nicer one.I will continue this process until I am cured from thinking hateful thoughts towards myself.
Love,
your best friend __(your full name)___"
I know this may seem like a lot of work and frankly it might seem silly to you. It is hard work, but is not silly one bit. If you want to improve as a person, be successful, surround yourself with better people that are like you, then you MUST start with yourself first.
I encourage you to be mindful of your thoughts for you become them and it is what you attract to yourself as well. I will elaborate on the law of attraction in the near future. I wish you happy thoughts.
Namaste. <3
The things in your shopping cart could be KILLING the planet and YOU!
Just one month ago, I began reading, The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone. What a fantastic book! I guess I picked it up because I needed change in my life. I needed to clean up my life and the first way I could do that was by cleaning up what I was putting INTO my body. I already started using cleaner products on my skin and hair by going poo free. I was noticing AMAZING results. I even felt lighter walking on this beautiful earth. Those toxins can really bring a person down. Literally! Naturally,  I was automatically attracted to eating healthier as well. And may I mention that my sleep schedule was a total wreck!
Well, as I read this book night after night, I began having ah-ha moments left and right. "No wonder why I feel so unbalanced...No wonder why I'm not losing weight and no wonder why I GAINED weight... No wonder why my skin looks blotchy sometimes... No wonder why I was always repulsed by meat.." and so on and so forth. The things I learned about all these dairy and meat products... I was horrified by what I learned (which was only the tip of the iceberg) of what that they do to these poor animals. I even cried at one point. After learning what these animals go through to just provide us with these insignificant 30 minutes of pleasure on our taste buds, I swore to myself that would never eat animal products ever again. We are killing animals, they are killing us, and we are killing the planet. Not a good cycle my friends. ( Do not fear to read this book. Alicia presents this information in the nicest way possible and litttle as much time is spent on the cruelty of animals. But it's important that you know this stuff!) Every day as I continued to read this book, I began to cut out dairy. I was never a huge meat eater, so that part was easy. But I LOVED dairy. Milk, yogurt, cheese,myou name it. Believe it or not, it wasn't that difficult to cut out! I don't even miss it! As i began adding other glorious yummy meals into my diet, I had no time miss it. Huh? What did you say? What's milk? However, late one night, I was realllyyyy hungry before bed. I went down to the kitchen and I had no idea what to eat. "If I eat this, it'll give me too much energy...Then I won't be able to sleep. I can't have cereal... No... What about toast? Ah man... We're out of bread..." looks around the kitchen for ANYTHING besides that dang cereal! "ugh. I guess I have to eat cereal..." and no, of course I didn't "have" to eat it. I was tempted. Old habits die hard. I talked myself into eating that cereal. But once I finished eating it. I felt so GUILTY. I just thought about all the cows that suffer just to provide us with milk that we shouldn't even be drinking. Then I felt all bloated and gassy. Then I felt nauseous. Oh, it was awful. I haven't had dairy since.
Cheese. You're thinking, "How can I live without glorious and yummy CHEESE? Cheese makes everything oh so tasty!" Don't get me wrong. I thought the same thing when I walked into the kitchen to cook dinner the day I decided to be 100% vegan. But you know what? Cooking is actually more fun WITHOUT cheese. Using seasoning and spices make my meals so much MORE glorious than silly old cheese. Orengo, Basil, garlic, and parsley are my favorites to use so far. Cooking is so much more creative and wonderful without dairy. So there is hope! You can be vegan and still enjoy food to a MUCH GREATER degree. When you get rid of all that junk (animal products), your taste palate is cleansed and you can taste more than you ever could!
Trust me, I never in a million years thought I would EVER become a vegan. For me, it was because I always heard about people becoming ill on a plant based diet and I was brainwashed, along with many others, to think  that I NEEDED meat for the protein. However, as I witnessed one of my idols, Ellen Degeneres, become vegan and as I saw her to glow brighter and brighter, I thought to myself, "Hey, veganism doesn't seem like such a bad thing after all." And as I read The Kind Diet all my thoughts and beliefs were affirmed about the food industry and why I always HATED eating meat.
In less than a month, I feel SO much lighter. I have a lot more energy. Emotionally, I feel more balanced. My thinking is clearer. My skin looks SO much better. It is softer and my blackheads on my nose are going away and my pores seem smaller! And yes, my sleeping schedule is improving immensely! I even got beachbody's vegan Chocolate Shakeology! It is so delicious and gives me the energy I need before my workout while giving me all the nutrients my body needs!
Being vegan has and is changing my life and I couldn't be happier. At the same time, I'm helping the planet! How awesome is that.
I will write a more detailed blog about veganism in the future. I just wanted to share my journey with you thus far with becoming vegan and show you that what you put in your body DOES matter amd plays a HUGE role in our lives.
Live long and prosper!
Why do we suffer? How can we decrease the amount of suffering we experience?
Have you ever deeply thought about the reasons why we suffer? There are many forms of suffering: emotionally, psychologically, intellectually, spiritually, financially, physically, and internally. Most people to do not realize the stress their body is under on a daily basis just because of what they are putting into their bodies and even what they wash their body with. And this can cause even the CELLS to suffer. Think about it. I dare you to go to your bathroom and read ALL the ingredients in your face wash, body wash, shampoo, hair conditioner, lotion... And all the other skin and hair products you may own. If you can't pronounce it, it's not good for you. There are DOZENS of chemicals in most of these products. If I haven't caught your attention yet, it only takes 26 seconds for your skin to absorb what you put on it. It goes into your blood stream and takes even longer for the body to get rid of all these yucky toxins than if you were to  ingest these toxins. If you wouldnt eat it or if you can't pronounce it, then don't put it on your skin. Remember your skin is an ORGAN too! Many people are going, "poo free" which is they don't use any hair care products, aka, they are going shamPOO free. All they use is baking soda and  apple cidar vinegar. You see, all those harsh chemicals in your shampoo tear and break down all the amazing proteins that protect and strengthen your hair. When going poo free, you are allowing your hair to grow and appear how it naturally would and you are caring for it as nature intended you to. Many people after going through this process, especially women, LOVE their new locks. It works for many people. I suggest you try it for a month or two! Message me if you have any further questions. I'd be glad to help you help yourself and the planet! I personally use Castile soap and conditioner with ALL natural ingredients that I purchased at Whole Foods.
Theraneem Naturals is vegan and  cruelty free. It's all organic and smells wonderful!       My hair is really fine. I have long straight thin hair. I would never have described my hair as voluminous. But now, my hair is much thicker and stronger than ever! Since I had such fine hair, I had to wash my hair EVERYDAY or it would get really greesey. No one wants that! Now I only wash my every other day or every 2 depending on how much I exercised and how sweaty I got. Since my hair is in it's natural state and is able to produce it's own protein, now it doesn't need to be washed every day. This is especially great if you're into conserving water as well! Using the Castile soap is also a great way of easing yourself into using only the baking soda and vinegar. For me, i just love the lathering soapy feeling. It makes me feel extra clean and sparkley. There are many options, varieties and combinations. So go out there and experiment and be creative! If you find any other amazing natural, vegan, cruelty free hair and skin products please share them! I wish you you a fun experience with going Poo free!
Stay tuned for my next blog when I'll talk about other ways to be kind to your body by discussing why we should be mindful of what we put IN our bodies!
"If you don't build your dreams, someone will hire you to help build theirs." - Tony Gaskins
 Today I thought I would share my story with you in the hopes that it will help at least one person to BUILD a better life for THEMSELF.
A little bit over a year ago, I graduated high school. Like most people these days, unfortunately, I too got brainwashed by society… I was CERTAIN that I had to go to college to be successful.  (Back then I wanted to be an entrepreneur and own my own gym.) Now, I must pause for a second to tell you a little bit about myself. I was always the good girl. I was friends with many people and was not clicky at all; I beat to my own drum. I have always been very down to earth and very out going and polite with everyone I come into contact with. I got good grades but I was not that student that was taking all AP classes and killing myself with school. I lived a pretty balanced life.
My parents didn't have much experience with college, so that discussion never really came up. I have always been a very independent and responsible kid so, my parents were never the micromanaging type. So towards the end of my sophomore year, I started realizing the extreme competition that was going on in order to get accepted into college. They taught us, or at least I got in my head that I NEEDED to go to college. Not even a community college would be sufficient enough. I felt that if I didn't get into college, I would be a LOSER, I would not be successful and always struggle with money and never get a decent job. So I began my journey of applying to colleges and several months later, my dad and I flew to Oregon and drove down the coast of California visiting all the colleges I was interested in. After that trip I knew I couldn't attend a UC because I sensed they had a, "We don't need you, you need us," type attitude. If I was going to go to college, I knew I needed to be at a school where I was wanted. So I began applying to colleges out of state…
After getting accepted and visiting the University of Arizona, I decided that that would be the college I would attend for the next FOUR years. I LOVED it. Looking back on it, I don't know why… Well, because it was BEAUTIFUL, and BIG and they were smart about making the students feel 'NEEDED". They provided me with so many great opportunities. I went to camp where had an amazing time and met some pretty great people. But several months later, I was MISERABLE. I HATED where I was in my life. I felt like I was wasting my time. My perception of the WORLD COMPLETELY changed. I began to strongly dislike people and society. I TRULY began to see how corrupted our governemnt is. I felt trapped. ( but really it was an illusion of the mind.) I felt burdened by so much. I wasn't able to take any of the classes I thought I would be taking. Instead it was high school curriculum all over again… My dad was paying $40,000+, I had no job because I was in over my head with school work, plus emotional and physical stress. ( I am one of those people who likes and needs to eat healthy and exercise EVERY day.By not being able to do those things caused me even greater stress) On top of that, my boyfriend and I were having trouble because of all the stress that we were both under.
All this stress, caused me to gain a little bit of weight, which caused me to hate myself even more. I began to wear work out clothes, everywhere I went to silently rebel against this "robotic" society I found myself living in. I was constantly around sorority girls who dressed like prostitutes every night and were out partying until dawn. I was trying so hard to find peace in the middle of corruption and chaos. I felt like I was going nowhere. Actually, worse. What's worse than going no where? --Going backwards. I was not my out going, social, open-hearted self. I was broken and empty. I was a non-functional human being. I could hardly get myself out of bed on most days.
Just TWO weeks before my first year of college was over, I decided to leave. I was already broken, I felt like if I stayed any longer I would have damaged myself even more by dying on the inside. I felt like I was in then deepest dark hole that a human being could ever experience spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. My health was completely shattered. I was not going to lose several years of my life just for some good grades and a degree that would probably be worthless. Not to mention 4 horrible miserable years at a time when I am supposed to be at my prime. So I bought a one way ticket and went back to California and I left.
I don't know if this is apparent, but this choice took a great deal amount of strength, guts, and faith. I believed with every fiber of my being that I could make it on my own. I went against everything ( at least to me in that moment). I went against my parents advise, I went against normal social standards, I went against myself ( when I start something, I finish it. I don't give up). But THIS, ah THIS is KEY... You're probably thinking, how could she just give up like that? I couldn't have dealt with myself if I gave up just like that... But I did not give up. How could I give up on something that the universe never intended for me to start? College for me wasn't about the classes... It wasn't about the grades... It wasn't about the degree... I was sent there to learn valuable life lessons that I did NOT learn in the classroom. Also, I never had a huge failure or dark horrible moment in my life. This experience allows me to be able to relate even more people. This experience allows me to say, "yeah, I've been knocked down and hell did I ever get back up with a punch!"
 So how did I attract all this greatness in my life? I CHANGED my STORY. Instead of my story being, "I gave up and wasted my father's money." my story became, " I learned a hell of a lot and now I DEFINITELY KNOW what I want and I'm going to fight with everything I got and then some... I get to start anew." When one story doesn't work out, make up a new and even BETTER one.
Do YOU want to get in shape? I'm loving the P90x Fitness Program! :D
I just started the P90x fitness program four days ago and I am already noticing results!! Is that crazy or what? FOUR days! Now, it is probably only differences I can only see, but results are results! My legs look thinner and I have a lot more muscle in my arms that definitely weren't there when I started the program. Muscle burns fat, so I'm really excited! I purchased P90x because I really wanted to tone my body. I was never really overweight but I was never that toned either. As a child I wasn't apart of any sports. Although, I did do horse back riding for a few years, but that's about it. I was always about the peace and love. :) <3  So I have never really been that physically strong. I also struggled with being ill a lot while growing up. So I decided to take a chance and challenge myself with P90x! So far, I am really happy. I am loving the journey!
For those of you who have not heard of P90x, P90x is a 90-day fitness program and it's mission is to get you in the best shape of your life! Hundreds of people have had huge success with it. P90x is an intense program. To make sure you don't get injured, there is a simple fitness test that you take to make sure you meet the minimum requirement.
Another great thing about this program is that it comes with a nutrition guide to help you stay on track and teaches you valuable information about nutrition. If you got nutrition down, then you've done 80% of the work! You can work as hard as you want, but if you're eating fried chicken and mashed potatoes you're not going to get really far. If you support your body with the nutrition it needs, it will support you back. So show your body some love by eating your fruits and vegetables!
Also, P90x 's foundation and philosophy is based on muscle confusion. The program includes TWELVE work out DVD's, they include: Chest and Back, Plyometrics, Shoulders and Arms, Yoga X, Legs and Back, Kenpo X, X Stretch, Core synergistics, Chest, Shoulders and Triceps, Back and Biceps, Cardio X, and Ab ripper. Phew. Those are a lot! Every three weeks you change your workout schedule so your body can really grow and build muscle This way, you avoid hitting a plateau. . But if I had to say the best thing about P90x is that it comes from Beachbody. Beachbody has an amazing community of people that will constantly support and inspire you. There are so many tools at the tips of your fingers!
I can't wait until day 30 so I can post my results, so you can see!
If you want to be apart of the the Beachbody community for FREE, you will get constant support from your own FREE coach , enter to win cash prizes, and find new friends and work out buddies! Also, if you are serious about getting in shape you can shop online.
Please share with me your fitness goals! I'd love to hear them!
